J. Ron Scruggs
Senior Trainer

Ron Scruggs Ron Scruggs has been with TNSC since 2000. Negotiation has been the focus of Mr. Scruggs for over 40 years having prepared and delivered negotiation skills training while living in the US and Europe. Mr. Scruggs furthered his education at INSEAD in Fontainbleau, France; the Swedish Institute of Management, and the Institute for Methods of the Enterprise in Lausanne, Switzerland following completion of his MBA studies in the United States.

Mr. Scruggs has been head of contract negotiation groups in the USA and Europe. His most recent corporate experience was as Director, Contracts for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

His experience in negotiations in Russia, all of the former East Bloc countries, the Middle East, Europe, and United States with both government and private companies well prepares him to share his experiences and successes with our TNSC clients.

Mr. Scruggs has extensive hands-on experience negotiating with large multinationals and is currently assisting firms in the USA and Europe with IT negotiations when not delivering training courses on both continents.

Mr. Scruggs was a town administrator on Martha's Vineyard for two years that challenged his negotiation skills. Most issues had two polarized factions that challenged Ron to find civil and negotiated solutions. Harbor maintenance, police and fire, pet, annual elections, conservation, transportation, taxes and dealing with national celebrities were among the unique issues that Mr. Scruggs handled on the Vineyard.

Mr. Scruggs enjoys golf and travel. His four sons and wife challenge his negotiation skills regularly while his six grandchildren outmaneuver him on a regular basis.

Mr. Scruggs is a Certified Technology Procurement Executive and has developed questions and tests for the National Contract Management Association and CAUCUS, a high technology procurement membership organization.
